Defender (Williams 1980)

This has been my biggest project to date.  I got this cabinet gutted and accumulated parts as I was able to find them.  A lot of wood repair work went into this game as you can see below.  Bondo was definitely my best friend.  :-)

Below is a list of some of the work items that where completed with this game.  One of the most challenging re-assembly parts was keeping all the grounding straps straight.  Williams had a pretty intricate grounding system in their cabinets.

- Two Coin Door Assemblies Combined Into a Nice One and Installed
- New T-Molding (hot glue rocks!)
- Repro Artwork Installed
    - Control Panel Overlay
    - Monitor Bezel
- Fully Rebuilt Power Supply Assembly /w Switcher
- New 19” Generic Bestech Monitor Installed (Samsung tube)
- All Major Metal Parts Cleaned
- Black Areas of Cabinet Re-Painted where Needed
- Lots of New Screws, Nuts & Bolts!

I still need to make a new back door (or find an existing one), replace the speaker grill material, and do some other odds and ends but it works and is a blast to play.
